A group of High schoolers decide to help teach kids about growing organic food.
It is such a sad fact these days that most kids have no idea how their food is grown much less how to do it. Growing organic food is totally foreign. Our health system is falling apart and under too much pressure with more and more people becoming sick from lifestyle related disease. our kids are led by us and what we expose them to. Our kids are pressured by the need to have the same food as the other kids at school which is normally junky processed stuff! We know obesity is becoming the leading killer in the US and most western countries and still our kids don’t even know where their food comes from. They are educated about food by TV commercials.
Growing Organic food can be fun
So Claire Erwin, an 18-year-old graduate from Cranbrook Kingswood High School in suburban Detroit and co-founder of the ‘Garden on the Go’ mobile organic garden project, decided to change this.
